Well as the title says I did it I got another car and left my beloved caddy sitting!!! Just had to do it, gas hog that she is, but what a ride she is. Nothing rides like a caddy. I did not trade her because they didn’t want to give me enough trade as to what she is worth. So, I’m going to try and sell her on my own if they can pry the keys out of my hand. LOL
I’ve driven it for 6 years and not once has she left me on the side of the road , always started unless I forgot to put gas in it. (which I did once!!) Now she is just sitting looking sad that I don’t even get in and start her up. My neighbor wants her but I don’t know if I can stand seeing someone else drive her. Ok, hubby says :"Pat its over and you need to get over it and sell the damn car" LOL So I put the For Sale sign in it and patted her and told her how much I was going to miss her. I know I’m crazy but I’ve enjoyed that vehicle so much. It can haul anything from groceries to 3 bails of hay!!!! Now can a Jetta do this? I think not!
Yes that what hubby bought me a Jetta Diesel and I must say even though its low to the ground, I really like it. I haven’t told my hubby that yet. I’m going to let him feel guilty for a little while for making me give up the caddy. It handles like a dream and it gets 46 miles to the gallon open highway, where as the caddy only got 14? So. even though I won’t be riding in my caddy I won’t be bitching when I go to the gas station once every three weeks!! Yipeee.
UPDATE: Big Screen TV will be back Monday after only 5 weeks in the shop!!!! Now I can play Wii and not squint my eyes to see what I;m doing. Suppose to be here Monday.
More news I’m going home for Christmas this year. I have not been home for Christmas for 29 years this year would be the 30th year. I wanted Mom, and my sister and myself all be together one more time, I may go before Mom, but Mom is 81 and I think we should all be together one more time. I’m so excited, just sharing memories of our child hood, our kids younger Christmases and things they did. All of my kids live pretty close, but hers are scattered and I’m sure as well as myself we will have a good time. I plan on leaving on the 23rd and coming back on the 27th . Its about 450 miles from here and I’m excited as a kid waiting for Santa. I plan on having Christmas early with my own children. Just hope there is not a big snow when I get ready to head out. I cannot believe I said hope there is no snow, I love snow. Anyway I’m making my plans and getting shopping done early so I will have every one taken care of before I go.
My boss had a wonderful time in Australia, he said it was beautiful. He said it reminded him (Sydney) of New York City only cleaner and no beggers or homeless people on the street. Very busy. He did bring me back a great t shirt. It was embroided with all the animals of Australia on it. He knows how I love animals. I had a matching jacket and it all looks great. Thanks Bill.
Don’t forget Vetrans Day on Tuesday. If you see a vet thank them for their service , if you see an older vet give them a hug, Remember as the song says : "All Gave Some, Some Gave ALL" God Bless all Vets.
Well I got to get off here and get ready for the day, my only day off this week. I don’t think I’m going to work so much around the house today, got an invite for lunch so its out the door I go.
Hope you all have a wonderful week.
