Spring Flowers

I was walking outside this afternoon because it finally quit raining.  So I though I would share my spring flowers with you.
This first picture is my Iris Bed.  They are bulbs I bought home from my mother in laws place after she passed away. She loved them and so I dug up some of her bulbs and when I see them bloom I think of her.  She passed away in 1992.
This is a try at a close up of one of the blooms.  I still need to figure how to use this camera and get clearer shots
What would be a blog without a picture of Hayden ???  Hayden likes them too.
Next is a close up and distance photo of my Peony bush which my mother in law gave me too.
If you are wondering what those two graves are they are my minature schnauzer graves.  They would  loved to pee on this Peony bush, I guess to them the Peony smelled like pee.???
This next one is of my Rhoadadendrun bush my son and his friend gave me for Easter and it bloomed this week. The blooms are bigger than the bush. Still beautiful and it’s WV’s state flower
I hope you enjoy these as much as I liked sharing them with you.
In case I don’t get to blog before Mother’s Day I wish all of my space friends who are mothers a very Happy Mother’s Day.
and to those of you who aren’t mothers have a happy day anyway.
Hugs to you All.

Don\’t you love when the flowers pop out. Your flowers are wonderful. I only have cherry blossoms and my rhodies are tightly closed, so nothing yet! I did plant stuff in my pots but that doesn\’t count. I\’m excited to see what pops. Thanks for sharing yours and as always, Hayden is precious!

The rhodedenrun reminds of the mountain laurel that grows wild around here. I\’m hoping it will stop storming here long enough to get out asd shoot some photos.

Hi, just dropped by via "Rambling On". I love the pictures of your garden. My late mother also loved irises. (I have a slight disagreement with my Dad as to whether she preferred irises or daffodils.)About your closeup of an iris with your new camera and wanting to get a clearer shot – I\’m assuming it\’s a digital camera. Almost all of these cameras have a "Macro" mode. Usually, you can\’t focus properly closer than a couple of feet, but the macro mode is designed to enable you to focus at closer range. Good luck.PS. Isn\’t it a pity no-one has yet designed a camera that can capture the scent of the flowers too?

  9. Sarah says:

Pretty flowers, Pat! It\’s still too cold here to have any actual flowers…my tulips are up but no blooms yet. Happy Mother\’s Day to you!

  10. Bev says:

Peonies always remind me of my Momma. She always grew them. Yours are so pretty! When we first bought our house, there were hundreds of different Iris in colors I had never seen. Hubby kept mowing them down and now they are all gone.Hayden is just too cute! Have a lovely mother\’s day my friend! Hugs!
